We are requesting sponsorships from individuals and companies in cash, kind or services rendered. We have successfully managed to gather a team of hardworking and motivated individuals that are driven to make a difference in society.<br /><br />The concept behind such an event arose in early 2009, when a few individuals decided on an idea of a fashion show that would aid a children’s charity. On the conception of the idea we contacted Charity Fashion Show California; the biggest fashion event on the west coast of the USA, the executive director Thom Scher has since been providing guidance on how to go about planning and executing such an event. It was decided the charity to be selected should be one which is often overlooked by the general public. The team which have been carefully selected to execute the project have experience as well as the necessary qualifications, but most importantly are driven by making a difference in the lives of South Africa’s future, the children. <br /><br />The main motivation for such an event is to create awareness of the plight of many children that have been forgotten by society by doing this we are able to raise funds to better the situation of these children through any means possible, such as food hampers, clothing, medical care, toys and so forth. The show will also allow up and coming designers with a promising career in the fashion industry an opportunity to work with established and well known designers. This experience offered to them will provide a platform for their designs to be showcased to the public at large.<br /><br />The project is divided into the following three areas:<br />• Events: this involves the logistical and marketing management of the show.<br />• Fashion: consists of selecting models, designers and the artistic team for the event.<br />• Development: is the area that includes dealing with the press, sponsors, finances and the charity portion.<br />The show is working on a timeline of four months. The first month we shall deal with the initial stages of the project which includes selecting a charity, finding a venue and appealing to the public for sponsorships. The second month is when the designers are to be confirmed. The viewing of ranges of young designers, casting of models and interviewing of entertainment will be done and confirmed. The third month is when marketing for the event shall start in full force and the production and sales of tickets shall be executed as well as personal invites to sponsors and the media are sent out.
